frequently asked questions

How does the booking process work?

The booking process is so simple! After we have connected and you decide to go ahead and book your session, I will send you a link to my booking form where you will sign a contract, fill out a simple questionnaire, and pay the non-refundable retainer to book your session. Retainers vary depending on the session or event booked. The remainder of the session fee is due the day of your session. We accept cash, credit + checks.

How long does it take to get images back?

You will receive an invitation to the online gallery within 3-4 weeks for regular sessions. Turn-around time is variable for mini-sessions, usually delivered within two weeks of your session. Weddings and event galleries are delivered within 8-12 weeks, depending on the season. At that time, you will be able to download all of your purchased high-resolution images. If you decide to order prints from your gallery, your fine art prints will be delivered via post within 4-6 weeks after the invitation is sent.

How are images delivered?

I use a web-based service to host and deliver your digital images, as well as to archive older sessions. The images are high resolution and the photo gallery is private. You will receive an invitation to the gallery via email, and will be prompted to download the images to your computer and/or mobile device. Once downloaded, you can print as you please, within the agreement of the contract upon booking. A link to your print release is included within the final delivery email. I typically do not offer USB drives for portrait sessions. These cost extra, but available should you prefer. Just let me know and I can invoice you separately for one.

Do you travel for sessions or weddings?

HECK YA! I love to travel, and even more exciting is the opportunity to come to you for a special occasion! It means so much to me to have the freedom to capture you and your loved ones in meaningful locations! And ya know what? if that means I get to pack my bags and come visit you, then it will be my great pleasure to do so!  Travel fees are extra, but hey! Get a couple of friends to book sessions, too, and y’all can split the travel fees!

How many final images do i receive?

This all depends on the session booked. I offer various packages to fit your needs, as well as print and album options for your keepsake! Extra images are available for purchase.

do you offer a client closet for all sessions?

Yes! All booked clients have access to our generous, beautiful Client Closet, created for mommas and littles. Personal styling is available for the entire family, for no additional fee, via video conferencing while we “shop” your own closet or your favorite store!

Is there a print release provided?

A print release is provided to print your images freely; however, we do recommend printing on your own via mpix.com, or allow us to print for you at our lab. We sadly cannot promise the integrity of final images printed at Walgreens, Target, CVS, etc. In-house printing is provided at competitive market pricing, seriously, just ask! You’ll be pleasantly surprised with our print prices and the heirloom quality. Besides… we love to show off while you enjoy all the beautiful benefits, delivered straight to your door!

How long is a general session? can I add extra time?

I offer sessions ranging from 15 minutes long to several hours. I want to create a custom experience for your needs. Most sessions are at least one hour to explore in nature (or your desired location) and create beautiful, timeless portraits while making memories with your loved ones. Additional time is available, at an hourly rate, as long as another session isn’t booked directly afterward.

How much do you charge?

Every experience with us holds such sentimental value, beyond monetary means. However, we do understand that every budget is different. We strive to offer an experience that meets your needs. We have an array of session types and pricing. Inquire about your session today, and we will make your vision come true!
