Newborn Prep guide
Hi! I am so excited to be a part of your lives as you plan for precious photographs of your new little bundle. Here are a few tips to help you plan for your session!
Bring extra diapers, wipes, pacifiers, and any soothing items you may need if baby needs some extra love.
Bring extra formula or pumped milk if you do not want to breastfeed during the session. Sometimes baby will need some extra nourishment during the session. Being in a new place and getting pictures is a lot for a newborn babe!
For the family part of the session, dress in neutrals and simple, dress-casual attire. Think going to dinner for date night. The best colors to wear are creams, browns, black, grays, olive green, dusty blue or rust.
I have a generous collection of wraps for baby in the studio. You do not need to bring any outfits for your baby, unless there is a special request! I handle all of the props and wrap baby in coordinating colors to go with the theme of the shoot.
I have a mini fridge stocked with waters, a keurig and coffee creamer, and a microwave in my studio. I also have a private bathroom and getting ready space if you need to finish getting ready during baby’s part of the session. I also have several dresses in my client closet available for mama to wear. Most of all, make yourself at home!
Send me any inspiration you may have for the session. What do you want to focus more on, babes details, traditional wrapped poses, or more family-centered? If you aren’t sure, no worries! I have a workflow and will cover all the bases. But if there’s anything you want specifically photographed- please let me know!
If you have any questions at all— I am here for you and I cannot wait for your session!
We will focus on some posed— but mostly candids, with directives and activities to inspire genuine smiles and laughter
Session fees start at $550 for an hour session and 30 digital images with a print release.
